While a junta of corporatist Senators have staged a constitutional coup in Puerto
Rico, more than 10,000 hunger-maddened Haitians rioted against a new policy
that allows seed distribution of only hybrids by agri-business giant Monsanto.
In Puerto Rico, the new rulers have suspended all university scholarships for
artists and athletes and given giant corporations the right to develop watershed
areas and ecologically sensitive jungles.
In Haiti, the government is preventing people from growing their own food with
seeds they can use year after year in favor of the hybrids developed by Monsanto.
It's a new policy favored by UN activists.
