Matt Kibbe, Frank Luntz in conference call this afternoon on GOP takeover plan
Fresh from putting 67 new faces in Congress, Tea Party organizers will host the first conference call of their 2012 campaign at 4 p.m. (EDT) today, Thursday, Nov. 4. All of these newly elected Congressmen have signed the Contract From America.
Bragging on “a victory on every level for limited government principles,” FreedomWorks CEO Matt Kibbe invited newcomers and veterans of the Tea (taxed enough already) Party movement to call 1-877-554-2421 and key in Reference No. 23390903 to join he and Fox News pundit Frank Luntz in planning continued vigilance over the newly elected candidates to Congress in keeping their campaign promises.
But that's not all.
In taking credit for stopping Cap and Trade and laying plans to repeal ObamaCare, the conservative organization has declared it wants to do no less than organize and carry out a “hostile takeover” of the Republican Party, according to co-author Dick Armey.
The loose-knit coalition of Tea Parties nationwide is unwilling to settle for a junior partnership, according to Mr. Kibbe.
He joined the former House Majority leader (R-TX) who hails from Irving in making the demand when they released “Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto,” published in August by Harper Collins.
Mr. Kibbe has been with FreedomWorks for 12 years, guiding it from its salad days as Citizens For A Sound Economy. He is closely allied with the Republican National Committee, Ralph Nader, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and he is a former Managing Editor of “Market Process.”
Knowledgeable insiders credit him with taking a large part in organizing the Tea (Taxed Enough Already) Party movement.
He is a contributor to The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, USA Today, RedState.com, American Spectator and Reason Magazine.
