Government Software Contract Creates Up To 10 Fake “People”

According to a social networking expert, the U.S. Government is propagating software that will allow its users - private security firms - to split single entities into 10totally fake and legendary “people.”

Why?

Obviously, the government is creating a resistance movement throughout the nation's social networks, a capability to fake out enemies who might attack through cyberterror, stealth, blackmail or other nefarious means.

How? Through harrassment, interdiction, dirty tricks, black ops - as usual. Just the usual. Yeah.

Under the contract, the Persona Management Software is capable of developing an umbrella that will “protect the identity of government agencies” through the use of any number of false signals to convice users that the poster is, in fact, a real person – managing up to 10 identities from a single computer, according to a story by Sean Kerrigan, a Social Media Examiner for examiner.com.

The scheme came to light last week when an internet activist hacked the website of HBGary, a private security firm.

According to the contract leaked in the unauthorized disclosure, a user would “friend” real people on Facebook as a way to convey government messages.

“Those names can be cross-referencded across Facebook, twitter, MySpace, and other social media services to collect information on each invidual. Once enough information is collected this information can be used to gain access to these individuals' social circles.”

HBGary CEO Aaron Barr is quoted in the leaked documents, saying “There are a variety of social media tricks we can use to add a level of realness to all fictitious personas...”

One example he gave was to have it appear that a person was actually at a conference, then introduce himself to to key individuals “as part of the exercise, as one example.”

In another example, a company executive said it was a total hoot that he was able to locate the wives of 112 service men who fly out of Hurlbert Field, Fl. Why is that significant?
