Sofia, Bulgaria – Now comes one of our far-flung correspondents reporting from this former Soviet bloc nation and alerts us to the patriotic activities of our freshman Texas Congressmen, Rep. Bill Flores (R-Dist. 17) of Bryan.
Mr. Flores and “a dozen other busybody Congressmen” have introduced H.R. 2411, “Reduce America's Debt Now Act of 2011,” in the House Ways and Means Committee.
The bill is “To provide for an employee election on Form W-4 to have amounts deducted and withheld from wages to be used to reduce the public debt.”
In return for this patriotic election, a contributor gets nothing – absolutely nothing – for helping make sure the Chinese and other fat cats such as the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Banking System, America's biggest creditor, do not experience a default when they get ready to clip their bond coupons.
No income tax deductions will be offered, nor any other consideration granted for those hard-working breadwinners who elect to have their employers deduct the funds and fork them over directly to the U.S. Treasury in support of this noble quest.
There's more, but it might be best to let the author of "The Boiling Frog Alert fill you in, as The Legendary finds this fare a bit depressing for a Friday afternoon.
Dig the relay richocet on this item. From D.C. to Sofia, Bulgaria, thence to the desk of Citizen Prosper Walker, an avid supporter of Col. Wes Riddle for Dist. 25 Congressman, and thence to the studios of RadioLegendary.com, the domain of The Legendary Jim Parks, conveniently located behind the library in downtown Corkscrew, Florida, on the former premises of the world-renowned Hiney Winery.
(cue Hiney Winery jingle - "Nothing could be finer than to get a little hiney in the mor-or-or-ning!")
It is truly a memorable experience of the avant village de global electronique, a veritable geosynchronous satellite synchronized world media d'massage, in which we now live. May we offer our finest shout out to Mr. Prosper Walker for this excellent alert.
Bravo!
Click through to the bill and read it carefully. It appears it's a way to drop out of the Social Security, unemployment insurance and income tax withholding system.
