Republican Congressional leadership is coming out swinging
for the fences against President Obama.
GOP House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio reached out
to engage the President in a dialogue about jobs, jobs,
jobs, jobs.
In an appearance on http://gopleader.gov, Mr. Boehner
responded to an Obama attack on himself the President made
at an appearance in Racine, Wisconsin.
He pointed out the high unemployment rate in Racine - 14% -
and the nation's 10-plus percent unemployment rate. In a
short soundbite, he asked President Obama why he's not
creating jobs instead of attacking the GOP leadership.
"Mr. President," he said, "what about the country?"
Representative Boehner was one of the principal architects
behind House Speaker Newt Gingrich's "Contract With
America."
In other video clips, Mr. Boehner asked the President why he
is not getting involved in border security and stopping
deficit spending now - not talking about plans for the
future.
