The city so nice, they named it twice: New York, etc.

As usual, the revolution will not be televised...

Melee ensues as cops wade into Wall St. march

As soon as #OccupyWallSt protesters learned they would not be evicted from Liberty Square, they marched on Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate.

Police officers mounted on scooters tried to force them off the streets where they were blocking rush hour traffic.

As they did, some of the marchers tossed garbage cans and bottles at the finest. Some people went to jail, others bled.

What else is new?

It all reminds me of a Jackie Gleason story he told on national television right after the Watts riots of 1965.

The Great One said he grew up on the west side in an Irish neighborhood called Hell's Kitchen.

Naturally, the shop keepers and merchants were Jewish.

One night some tough guys came around the neighborhood and broke all the windows in the store fronts.

“And you know what us Irish people did? Huh? We came down from them tenements and we got out in them streets and...

“We stole everything the Jews had!”

Start spreadin' the news
I'm leavin' today.
I want to be a part of it...etc.
