"We have a plan of action”
Waco
– Many hundreds of thousands of dollars into the project of remodeling a 300-bed
lockup next door to the Courthouse, officials are stymied by a lack
of information out of the Sheriff's Department and the private jail
operator.
“We
are waiting on CEC,” said Commissioner Lester Gibson, in some
extremely frank remarks about the state of affairs. In the end, they voted to spend $41,200 on new kitchen equipment in the event they get the facility open.
The
300-some odd bed jail stands empty after a large expenditure on
remodeling and refurbishment demanded by the Texas Commission on Jail
Standards. While they wait for the private jail operator, CEC, to
finish the part of the work they are responsible to perform –
chores such as painting, laying carpet and fixing light fixtures –
the jail stands idle as a roofing company completes its work on a a
very leaky old roof.
Neither the Sheriff's Department Administrative Captain Paul Wash, nor the County's supervisor of maintenance were on hand to answer any questions, as well as Sheriff Larry Lynch, the Chief Deputy Randy Plemons, or officials of CEC, Inc.
One
may hear of the Court's frustrations in trying to plan ahead in this
audio recording:
ITS TIME TO RID THE COUNTY OF LYNCH,PLEMONS,WASH,PERRY,AND ADAM HARRY,ALL THEY ARE DOING IS PROTECTING THEMSELVES AND KICKING THE CAN DOWN TO OUR KIDS,ITS TIME THAT CONSERVATIVES STEP FORWARD.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I know I've had enough of "deferred any action", "waiting on CEC" & people who SHOULD be there answering questions or provided needed information, NOT there to do so. This has been going on week after week after week. I am in precinct 4 and guess who will NOT be getting my vote.
DeleteWhy are the Commissioners not demanding answers from the Sheriff's Office. According to state law, the Sheriff is in charge of the oversight of jails in his county. But once again, Lynch, Plemons, and now even Wash are no where to be found. I guess they are busy pulling up Parnell McNamara signs or preparing character assassinations on Parnell, his friends, and family. McLennan county is sad shape that we have let domestic terrorist like this into office and have allowed them to keep their jobs. Over the course of this campaign, I've lost a ton of respect I once had for Lynch. I've never had any for his crony Plemons. Plemons is nothing more then another control of Lynch. He has no experience being a lawman. He has no experience or training being an administrator, which is evident by the mess the Sheriff's Office affairs are currently in.
ReplyDeleteI hope that everyone gets out the and votes now the polls are open and puts a real lawman in office in Parnell McNamara and votes the childish Plemons out of office. Next person they may target with a slanderous smear campaign may be you.
I totally agree. Lynch and Plemons need to be held accountable. If Plemons is allowed to be Sheriff, the Sheriffs office will continue to be ran by a bunch of unethical idiots who cannot be depended on. They took an oath that they are not upholding. I agree that they will go after anyone who disagrees with them. That is why deputies, and the media are so scared of them. They are very vindictive and childish. This county has to stand up and vote for a change. Vote for honesty and integrity. McNamara is the only choice!
