Tea Party debt deal to take center stage tomorrow

Washington – A Tea Party plan to “cut, cap and balance” the nation's debt and budget deficit woes will hit the House of Representatives tomorrow.

In an appearance on “Fox News Sunday,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Oh, told viewers that the plan will consist of an immediate $100 billion-plus cut from next year's budget, a $2.4 trillion increase in the debt limit and the adoption by Congress of a constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget.

Said Rep. Jordan, “Let's let the American people decide. Do they want something commonsense as cutting spending, capping the growth in government and requiring a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution?”
