Hacked Fox Twitter greatly exaggerates Obama's death

New York – News rooms worldwide went into high gear earlier today when false reports of President Barack Obama's assassination circled the globe by Tweet.

Fox News scrambled to apologize for “false” and “malicious” hackers broadcast to its 34,000 political Twitter followers reporting an assassin's bullet killed President Obama in Iowa, according to reports aired on all continents.

The president is spending the weekend safe with military families and staffers at the White House. A barbecue is planned for later in the day at the executive mansion.

In a series of six tweets, the hackers claimed an unknown assassin cut Mr. Obama down during a campaign appearance.

Fox executives assured their patrons that the matter is under investigation and apologized for the false report.
