Casey Kelley band to rock Papa Joe's Saturday night

Jim Sebastian Hix announced the Casey Kelley Band will play Papa Joe's in Lorena with "cold beer and no cover" on Saturday night from 8:30 to 11:30. Featuring progressive country and old Buck Owens tunes a la blue-eyed Tejano, the group promises what most boot scooters demand and expect, because in a place like Papa Joe's, "you never know who will show up."

Below, the management of The Legendary has included for your viewing pleasure a video clip from the infamous 1969 film, "Easy Rider," the screenplay for which was in part penned by that noted script doctor from Alvarado, Texas, located just up the I-H35 ribbon of highway from Papa Joe's. His name, Terry Southern, is well noted to fans of such films as "Dr. Strangelove" and "The Magic Christian." He even made the cover of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." He was the author of the short story collection, "Red Dirt Marijuana, and other tastes," as well a co-founder with George Plimpton of "The Paris Review."

So there. How's that for not ever knowing who will show up in unidentified flying objects?(click here for a minority report on the subject)
