R.I.P. Doyle Bramhall, blues drummer, writer, Texan
Alpine - At 62, Doyle Bramhall found it hard to recover from a case of pneumonia and succumbed in this west Texas city. He enjoyed a long and eventful career, which began in the Dallas area playing in a band with Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Chessmen, then went on to be a part of the blues renaissance in mid-70's Austin. He wrote many songs, including "Dirty Pool."
