Orlando – After 33 days of grueling testimony and less than 11 hours of deliberation, the jurors found Casey Anthony not guilty of first degree murder, manslaughter and child abuse.
They did convict her of 4 counts of lying to a police officer.
She may be sentenced to a maximum of 4 years behind bars if the sentences for lying to a law enforcement official are to run consecutively. She will receive credit for time served behind bars.
The sentence is expected on Thursday.
Searchers found the decomposed remains of her two-year-old daughter Caylee in the woods near her parents' home.
During the trial, the prosecution presented much evidence that Ms. Anthony liked to party, had a tattoo on her shoulder that read “Bella Vita,” and often left her child to be cared for by others.
Though daytime television viewers were riveted to their sets during the trial, jurors apparently did not think such evidence was sufficient to convict her of killing the child and concealing her body in the woods in plastic bags.
