2010 U.S. Census shows whites in minority by 2043

Hispanic population will reach a tipping point within 30 years, according to projections released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Whites will reach a minority status in the year 2043, according to figures released today.

The most available indication of the political implications is the victory of President Barack Hussein Obama in his bid for a second term. The President received 78 percent of the non-white vote in his race against Gov. Mitt Romney.

According to the report, census officials noticed that a rising number of persons chose to eschew traditional racial descriptions and designated themselves as “multiracial” instead of white, hispanic, black, or Asian.

Presently at 7.5 million, the self-chosen “multiracial” designation is expected to triple to 26.7 people by the year 2060.
