Texas-born vocalist Dobie Gray dead at 71
The man whose career started with “The In Crowd” and peaked with “Drift Away” passed today. He will be missed.
Listen to his voice and try to imagine the world without old Dobie Gray, so nicknamed by Sonny Bono in a sly reference to television sit-com character “Dobie Gillis.”
