Legalization of marijuana would surely lead to war

Big old funeral tent on the Courthouse lawn - jailhouse still closed after two and a half years

Six Shooter Junction - Folks say legalization of marijuana as a controlled and taxed drug similar to alcohol would lead the gangsters to kill in defense of the illegal status of their profit center in the highly illegal commodity, presently classified as a Schedule 1 narcotic and ranked with heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and other highly addictive drugs.

Whatever.

Break out the yella paper and the red ink. We'll handle it. 

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the historical society is celebrating the restoration of the courthouse. But they won't allow any pictures to be taken inside the jail, which has been closed for two and a half years for renovations at a cost of slightly more than one million dollars. Jail overcrowding led to a huge round of deficit spending during the current fiscal year as a private New Jersey corporation named CEC was paid a fee of $45.50 per day to house prisoners, the cost being classified as "outside care."
