Youthful
protesters are in the streets of Cairo today, making known their
opposition to an edict issued by the dictator who two years ago
replaced Hosni Mubarak.
While
an Islamic council drafts a new constitution for the troubled nation,
President Mohammed Morsi sought to seize all judicial power from the
court system, a stance he backed off of on Monday in a reported
effort to maintain the influence of the Islamic council.
Judges,
legislators, Arab Spring movement protesters and the U.S. Department
of State erupted in protest over the edict.
The
president's attempt to spread oil on the waters fell on deaf ears
Monday. No one believes him.
