Liquor, catering, printing advertising
Waco – For all practical purposes, the Randy Plemons campaign for Sheriff of McLennan county is financed by residual campaign funds left over from previous re-election campaigns of Sheriff Larry Lynch.
According to campaign expenditure reports on file at the McLennan County Elections Office, Sheriff Lynch has contributed nearly $5,000 in in-kind contributions to the Plemons campaign.
These contributions include:
A $3,000 catering bill for food furnished by Blanek's Catering, as well as another bill for $98 from the same organizaion.
A $758 liquor bill for spirits obtained from DiCorte Liquors, and a $970.00 bill paid to Athens Publishing for advertising in “Wacoan” Magazine.
Other expenses unrelated to the Plemons campaign include a $150 contribution to the Will Jones campaign for Commissioner, Precinct 3 and a $180 contribution to McLennan County Republican Women.
These in-kind contributions match almost exactly the total political contributions maintained as of the last day of the reporting period on file with the elections office.
