Iraq Troop Withdrawal On Schedule – Obama

U.S. ground troops in Iraq will number 50,000 by this time next month

Though violence for U.S. troops in Iraq is at the lowest level it's been for many years, civilian casualties were at their highest-ever level last month.

The sacrifice is far from over, according to President Barack Obama.

In remarks prepared for an appearance before the Disabled American Veterans in Atlanta, the President will emphasize that though most American troopers are coming home, those who remain will have a big job to do as American involvement winds down.
