CIA goes private to get around domestic spying law

With an executive hierarchy made up of ex-CIA officers, Trapwire is a murky and secrecy shrouded private corporation that correlates “see something, say something” data nationwide.


CCTV cameras, police and FBI reports on suspicious activity, it's all centralized in a database that police agencies from the local precinct house to the FBI uses on a daily basis.

Such hacker organizations as “Anonymous” have declared war on surveillance schemes like Trapwire. In a recent theft, an FBI laptop was hacked and mined for its intelligence capabilities by hactivists who gleaned vital information regarding Apple and other multinational corporations.
