Church Plans Quran Burning Day – 9/11

A Gainesville, Florida, pastor is planning an International Burn A Quran Day on 9/11, the ninth anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Pastor Terry Jones wrote a book titled “Islam Is Of The Devil” and sells t-shirts and coffee mugs at The Dove World Outreach Center.

  2. I do no such thing, sir. I believe that every day is a holiday, every meal is a feast and every building is a temple. Every song is a prayer and books are holy because God does not make rubbish.

To burn books is a terrible thing to do. I shall never burn your Holy book, sir. It is truly a possession of all to behold.

  5. DO YOU KNOW THE MEANING OF ISLAM...IN THE ENCYCLOPEDIA YOU WILL FIND THE MEANING OF ISLAM AS "THE PEACE"...ISLAM DOES NOT STAND ON BRUTALITY OR TERRORISM....BE CLEAR IN YOUR CONCEPTS...IF YOU STUDY A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ISLAMIC RELIGION YOU WILL AGREE ME....INSHA ALLAH !!!

  6. I know the meaning of your ridiculous outbursts, sir. I rest my case. I never once said anything negative about the religion of Islam. I quoted a Christian pastor who planned to burn the Quran and said Islam is "of the devil." If you can't get over that, then someone here has a problem and it's not The Legendary. It's yourself. Go in peace, then, and practice what your good book says. Your false accusations against me are reprehensible and uncalled for.

  10. Sir, I would very much regret seeing any book of holy writ burned anywhere - here, Saudi Arabia, or The Moon.

There is a fraternity that is peculiar to the American revolution, the UK, France, and many other nations. When they open a lodge in Jerusalem and elsewhere in Israel, there are three books of holy writ upon the altar.

The Talmud, The Holy Bible, and The Holy Quran are opened to the appropriate scripture when the Worshipful Master strikes the gavel and declares the lodge duly opened "in the name of God and the Holy Saints John."

It is my fondest hope that you and yours go in peace and that no one molest your books, your property, papers or your person without due process of law.

As you know, sir, there can be no such due process in this nation, the U.S., because "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..."

I do not know your name because you have not done me the courtesy of introducing yourself. Pity. I have always heard what noble men are the practitioners of Islam. And yet you make no effort to fulfill that reputation.

    How unfortunate.

At any rate, sir, I am The Legendary Jim Parks, a man whose mother, a freckle-faced little Irish girl, had the good sense to get herself pregnant in Dallas, Texas, and birthed me on July 21, 1949.

    7/21/49.

Seven threes are 21. Seven sevens are 49.

    Understood?

    Good, then.

I am truly one of the people of the book. Think about it.

Why would a man from the tribe of the people of the book like to see any book of holy writ burned?

    I would not.

The news item is of interest to me merely because of the barbarity of the proposal, one that I find truly reprehensible.

I, too, am a of respect, of honor. As such, I do not carry messages from one man to another. If you should choose to ask Pastor Jones about his intentions or the prospects of his travel to Saudi Arabia, please let me know what he says so I can confirm his answer, for I am a newsman. I write the first edition of history, sir.

We the People have proclaimed it a good and legal thing for a man to do.

Go in Peace, sir, though your travels may take you to Arabia, to Paris, London, Rome, or Okeechobee.

And know ye well that I am

    The Legendary

    So mote it be.

  12. pastor jones was a child born with a mental illness which can not be cured by the best of doctors and his dad smashed him on the head with a baseball bat several times which is why he has a square head. pastors big bushy mustash attracts many ants which get stuck and unfortunatley die.And when my little sister mistakened him for santa clause and asked for a barbie doll and he replied in some next level american robotic language.he is an uneducated disable moron that is in great necessity of a shaver to remove his hairy ambush below his nose and above his lips.

  13. Pastor Terry Jones is an extremely disturbed person and one that has not done his research. He can not make assumptions about another persons religion. He has never read the quran so how does HE know what it says even. Islam is a religion of peace and due to the mosque building in NY. Muslim people can not feel comfortable to even say they are muslim. I disagree with everything that the pastor says but i understand he has the right to say it just as the Muslims have the right to build wherever they see fit.
