Navy, Marines Lurk Offshore In Iran, Peace Talks Falter

A week into the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks, the Obama Administration is recommending a 3-month freeze on building new West Bank settlements.

The Israeli Air Force stepped up attacks on Gaza locations this morning, striking a group of weapons warehouses in the southern Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the week, Palestinians fired rockets at locations in Israel “on orders from Iran,” according to a news analysis in the Jerusalem “Post.”

Meanwhile, the U.S.S. Harry Truman, CVA 75, is standing by offshore in Iran accompanied by the rest of a carrier battle group and a heavy helicopter landing platform ship with a full battalion of Marines on board.

“Israel views Hamas as solely responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip,” according to reports published by the Austin-based private intelligence service, Stratfor.
